Summary
Christian was born on March 16, 2006. He was literally throwing
discs sidearm before he could walk and he played on his first
disc golf course on June 30, 2007.
We recently learned that a world record throw of just over
100' was set by a 3-yr old. Pity we didn't know earlier as
Christian was launching discs at least 10' farther than the
record when he was 3.
Christian's first tournament was at Fewell Park on August
22, 2009. On August 28, 2010 Christian scored 35 strokes better
on his 1st round than he did the previous year.. now that's
improvement. Even more impressive was that he won the youth
division, beating out 3 other skilled players aged 8, 10,
and 13! He has competed in 5 PDGA sanctioned tournaments.
Christian has a natural ability to size up a situation and
alter his throw accordingly. He has never been instructed
in throw mechanics, yet can throw hyzer & anhyzer sidearms,
tomahawks, and rollers as needed. It is a common thing for
him to nail sidearm putts from over 50' away! Christian continues
to improve and impress.
