This was the final PDGA event for the 2011 year. We were at Sugaw
Creek this time, 2 rounds. Again, I was the only advanced woman.
I was allowed to play in my own division though. First round I
played with the juniors and one of the intermediate women. I shot
a 60. Pretty good for Sugaw. I knew I wasn't competing against
anyone, but I wanted to make a strong finish ratings wise. And
I did. Round 2 I shot another 60, this time playing with the grand/senior
grand master men. That was a hoot. I played with the young-ins
the first round and the old guys the second and I had a great
time with both. I think I showed everyone that yes women can play
too, and well.
There was a young girl playing, Tori's age and once she and her
mom realized who I was they reveled to me that it was Tori (watching
her on YouTube at the Jacksonville Nationals) that inspired her
to keep playing. Pretty cool!
I picked up my World's disc there (nice disc!) and we got Tee-devils
as part of our players pack. The Tee-devil does not do anything
like what is said to. It is extremely over stable!
