Throws For Tots & Fewell Fun Day - December 3, 2011

This is the first time we've had different Scott members competing in different tournaments at the same time. Something tells us, this won't be the last time it will happen though.

Debbie's Notes:

This event was to give back to the Toys for Tots campaign held every year by the Marines. I also put in for the raffle of great prizes. So I paid $30 and came away with about $130 in prizes. Not too bad. Babette actually won the advanced woman's division this time. We were playing at Kilborne again. I am getting tired of playing there all the time.

There was a great turn out for the event and a lot of money and toys were raised for the kids. I came in 2nd. I shot a 60, and Babette shot a 58. I played well, she just played better (this day.) Through the raffle I won a $50 gift card for Cowfish and a $50 gift card for Whiskey River. Despite not winning, I did well.

Bob's Notes:

Well, we finally found someone who could beat Victoria in a tournament... her brother. Christian has been outdriving Victoria for a couple years, but she stays out of trouble spots more and doesn't overputt, so she usually gets the better score when they play. When Christian's putt is on though, it is hard for anyone to keep up with him.

All three of us turned in nice scores today and took our divisions, but the attendance at this event was down from normal because there were at least 3 big tournaments within 50 miles (Debbie was at one of them). We still had a great time. Afterwards, we used the coupon that Christian won and went to get some delicious ice cream & milkshakes from PW's Gourmet Ice Cream.
