I learned something very valuable at this tournament. I learned
that the lack of sleep makes for a terrible round. Bruce and I
ride up to Jennifer's house Friday before the tournament and we
stayed up nearly all night just enjoying each others company.
Well, it's no surprise that I played terrible the next day. I
felt like I was in a haze almost floating. It was awful. I was
missing shots that I always made. Thankfully I woke up for round
two and played some better. I did sleep the Saturday night and
played fine the next day, but I was behind a very good player,
Autumn by 6 strokes. I got 3 of them back, but came in 2nd place
by 3. I should have won that event, but I learned my lesson. SLEEP
is essential!
