Commentaries

Bob's Notes:

  • It is more difficult to throw in a Hawaiian shirt than one might think as it restricts your arm movement. Surprisingly, the sandals weren't that difficult to play in as run-ups weren't really needed much at Kilbourne.
  • They never called my name when assigning teams (happened to 2 or 3 other guys as well), so I joined Debbie's card as there were only 3 on their card (Debbie, Diane, and Brittany). I enjoyed playing with the ladies even though I played poorly and Brittany beat me.
  • Birdied #1,10,11 but bogied 6 holes and double-bogied #17
  • In "Doubles with a Twist", our opponents played the "use left hand to throw" card on us on #16. They had great drives while ours went short into the woods. We then played our "switch lies with opponent" card.

Debbie's Notes:

  • It was really cool to finally be able to play with Brittany Rose.
  • Poor Tina Heid... I beat her by 1 point... again.
  • It was kinda neat to have Bob on our card and it is always fun to play with Diane McDaniel.
  • Sherri Tyler did an excellent job coordinating & arranging this event. I thought it went over extremely well. We had great participation. Sam was wonderful with the food as always.
  • Doubles we came in last place but it was still fun. I got to meet Jake Newhouse. I enjoyed playing the Lava Burn cards... it was a lot of fun, particularly as a surprise that no one knew about beforehand.
  • The ring of fire was cool just because we had so many people.
  • The water gun awards were fun.
  • A lot of people dressed up which was great to see.
