"On October 4, 2014. 68 ladies, Rock Hill Parks & Rec,
Innova Disc Golf, Gill Insurance, and Carolina's Insurance came
together to make a difference in the fight to end breastcancer."
"A Huge thanks to Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism,
Innova Discs, Debbie Scott, Sara Lamberson, Elaine King, Zoe AnDyke
the 63 amazing lady disc golfers who gave up their Satruday to
help make Throw Pink Rock Hill, South Carolina a huge success."
- Throw Pink Team
After three days of teaching the kids, it was time to teach the
ladies! I was one of the instructors at a very special event at
this year's USDGC. Down the street from Winthrop is a small park,
Fewell Park. This is where over 70 ladies came together to celebrate
breast cancer awareness and learn how to play disc golf. The Throw
Pink event and cause was the USDGC's charitable work this year.
I was excited to teach there. As I always do, I teach the basics.
I go over grip, stance, how to throw and what to aim for. After
the clinic sessions the ladies played a fun round at the park. I
was so excited to see so many ladies come out. It was awesome to
teach along side Elaine King, Zoe Andyke and Sara Lamberson. A special
shout out to Sara Nicholson and Innova for putting Throw Pink together
and organizing a great event!
